Language from the Dust

Open Source Project to Enable Artificial Intelligence on Ancient Languages

Project Hieroglyphs

Hieroglyphs are one of the most interesting languages to look at. Our goal is to make translations available on demand of this fun language used throughout Egypt in its early and middle historical periods.

Project Phoenician

The Phoenicians created an early alphabet which became standard throughout the world in many lands. The Greeks used it for a time. The Hebrews used it for a time. And other smaller known languages also made use of it. These seafaring traders left their marks all over much of the world.

Project Demotic

This Egyptian language is one of the three languages on the Rosetta Stone. The language was used by many scribes throughout Egypt and Persia beginning about 650 BC. It is probably one of the most difficult languages to master due to its complexity, flexibility, and multiple penmanship styles. This will likely be the last of the projects to complete.

Project Coptic

Coptic is a late form of Egyptian of which many ancient documents are available including most of the Bible. Coptic is very well documented.

About

Language from the Dust is an open source project still in its early stages. The vision is to make use of the latest Google Tools including Artificial Intelligence to make ancient languages accessible and readable by the common person. The end state is not only a translation of an ancient document but a complete breakdown as to how the translation was made.
